Bodies - Fragments - Boundaries
the ship of Theseus
brain and flesh:
interchangeable parts
tied with fibrous string
monstrous endeavours
made and unmade
a vile assemblage of flesh which together
forms a (in)coherent totality
exquisitely beautiful
delicately terrible.
dislocated and isolated
dissected fragmented fractured
‘thingness’ eschewing corporeality
simplicity of dislocated parts
a (re)emergence of the flesh
we cut through sinews, disentangle
the abstract corporeal
in search of
our traumatic limits
strange components
detachment brings sick revulsion
we are nothing but

artifice
transplanted into unconscious flesh made
my beloved, my fractured progeny
medicalised spectacle
my fungoid mind ever infecting
your lacerated bodies
posthuman, hybrid, amalgam,
collection of components,
material-informational entity; boundaries undergo construction, reconstruction
I alone cared for
those who no-one owned;
consecrated, condemned
a disturbance in breathless still
the procession in itself an interrogation
of normality
the dead are suggestion of what lies
between the human
the unconscious
the unintended consequences of my craft
attached and reattached
frail forms
frail existences
which know no decay
exist independent, viral
transmutations carve out
a meagre existence in threads of time
the intercourse of undead –
haunting and stilted
in such moments we embrace a making
and unmaking
in fictions of disease we seek out
a quest for ancient pain
a theatrical scene in the firmament
oh Master! spare me
from being burnt alive
we can see you from hell
a void above the depths of time
empty, yearning vortex
death in the theatre
come, hear the connectedness
of sighs which have since stopped
seek wisdom in death
the desolate beauty of mortality
hark! this is your final chance
to prevent disconnection
to reach into the void
and come forth
into the light of the unconscious.
let cruelty be your teacher,
do what must be left undone.
we dedicate our minds and hearts to violence
purgative for wisdom
cathartic spurt of blood
cruelty born in representation
a return to the divine
we are owed perfection
the cosmic phenomena of active forgetfulness
liberates the unconscious from its repressed desires
in catharsis of the cruel spectacle
signifiers become signified
signs collapse into neutron stars
