I used to watch with you
And now the galaxy seems too big
To contain those times when we walked hand in hand
How can distance be measured
By the movement of mechanism
Or by super bright stars hanging in celestial balance
There were days we didn’t notice any separation
Our minds
Only apart as we slept
Our ships charted new islands and continents
With the ease of Magellan
That synchronicity is gone
