Never Mind The Blockflutes once again exhibits Ruaraidh Wishart’s characteristic fusion of heavy sounds from Goth Rock and Metal with poetry and language from earlier times and this time Little League Rebellion returns with a new EP which takes inspiration from the classic work of the Medieval Scots Makars including William Dunbar and John Barbour.

NMTB serves as a thematic progression from Little League Rebellion’s previous EP A Sough O’ War where poetry inspired by the past is rejuvenated by a modern music sense. William Dunbar’s poetry becomes modern political critique and the language of middle Scots plays with the timeless anxieties of Death.
