I slip
Into a daydream
Somewhere
By the
Sea.
My fingers
Locked within
The grasp
Of a hand
That loves
Me.
I flash a smile
To the
One
Who knows
Me.
For the first
Time,
I am seen
And I am
Understood.
On my darkest
Nights,
They are there.
They will
Not leave.
The sun blinds
But we
Hide behind
Sunglasses,
Plastic frames
Clash
As our lips
Collide.
I awake
To the reality
That
I do not
Have you
Yet.
For now
You are a poem
Tucked
In my jean
Pocket.
I unfold
You whenever
I get
Lonely.
